New District Plan

The new district plan is being prepared by East Herts District Council. The call for sites has finished, where landowners offer up potential sites for development. The next stage is for the council officers to assess the suggestions and narrow it down to a short list for inclusion in the district plan before going out to public consultation. Two areas (partially) in Sele have been offered up, neither of which are compliant with the Neighbourhood Plan. One is Bacons Farm land including Archers Wood, and the other is the open land south of Welwyn Road and West of Blakemore Wood. Click here for details of the sites
